 OUBLE STANDARD: The heart of many a contradiction, exemplified by the practice of asking private companies to perform government services, in effect, turning tax dollars into private profit. The object is to socialize the costs and privatize the gains. Think government contracts to Blackwater and other corporations in the for-profit business of providing private armies, paid for with public funds. Apparently, socialized spending is acceptable when it comes to warfare, but not for health care. That is a Double Standard.
